This game is a grind fest.
Post game multiplayer stuff (from unlocking new bosses enemies and weapons)((worst case afk grinding(((don't do this))))) if you ignore trying to drop the Terminis weapons and just be there to complete the boss fight at least once you can do that in about 15-40 hours but there is no more story significance just some more cool boss fights you can try new characters on so don't chase the grind and you can even do the last few bits to experience the fights, I don't think you can do much about Lucilius without a Terminis weapon + war element but you may get away with just Full defensive build and get carried.
So About what TotemMX said, if you buy the game, welcome to Grindblue.
40 hours perhaps if including after ending main questline up to first clear of Lucilius fight, with/out friend party. Add some more if you want to S rank every quests and if you want to really maxed up all characters could reach probably 1K hours++.
This game pretty much like Pokemon or MonHunt, the main quests can be rushed over. What makes it long actually are the side contents.
