Single light charge attacks are good for gapclosing, and your triple light charged attacks just damage cap too quickly, so they lose out to the double hit one late game.
Edit: Almost forgot to mention, but his skills suck for damage as well. Battalions of Fear is good for a gap close, and Great Scythe Grynoth is good for stun, but their charges lead to the 3rd charge attack which, as previously mentioned, isn't as good at damage cap as the 2nd spinning attack charge.
If a character is doing 1 instance of damage 100 times within one second, while the other character 1mil damage every 10 second, then the dps, the damage dealer, is still the 2nd character despite only attacking every 10 second. because 1mil per 10 is higher than 100 per 1.
Each damage instance of a charged heavy attack has the dmg cap of 1.6 million (assuming no Glass Cannon). The charged attacks after 2 light attacks has 2 damage instances, so their dmg cap is actually 3.2m. On the other hand, the charged attacks after 1 light attack or 3 light attacks has only 1 damage instance, so their dmg cap is only 1.6m.
You have to do animation cancel to maximize Vaseraga's damage. Let L be light attack, H be heavy attack, D be dodge canceling, and C be charging.
You have to do: L (D), L (D), H (C), H (C), which gives 6.4m for the entire combo. Vaseraga can get 45-50m on the 60-second dummy with his Terminus Weapon and dmg cap sigils.
It is difficult to cap the 1 hit of the 1st charge attack after 2 light attacks. So you want to use 2 Less is More sigils and unequip all 4 skills. All Vaseraga's skills are useless for damaging purposes. Use L (D) + H as a dash to get around.
