"map" missions are really only in the story. Once you get to the mid and endgame, most missions are arenas. I thought the same thing on initial playthrough, but there's simply no need for one.

Most of the maps are rather small and straight-forward.

Because you don't need a map to follow a straight line

really linear from what i've played so far, so idk if they need one. however the area in chapter 6 could maybe have used one.

why would you even need it in this game?

in the stages, its not necessary, but i've gotten a bit turned around in Seedhollow a good couple of times. Sure its just a matter of memorization, and i'll eventually get there, but man it is kind annoying relying only on the line compass at the top.

Not having a map guide is part of the experience : you are invited to explore a little bit each part of the Map, trying to find hidden treasures in secret places. Not having a GPS is unusual, but it's both an original experience today and not too hard as maps are often straight lines with some secret ways.

Regarding the fighting areas I can agree but there is no reason to not have a map for the city area.

Not because you like it everyone must do.
He's just asking an option to have a mini map to who want.

Lol chill bro, didn't say I don't want an option to have a map existing, just said good things about the current state of the game, having the choice is always better though

you have not played granblue fantasy relink if you have not been going around following the quest marker on the compass only to end up in some seedy back alley

Almost 110 hours here, pretty much did everything.
Still really wish they added minimaps, a truly a fantastic game though, just a niptick.

It is rather annoying at times, especially in towns looking around for questgivers etc. But other than that, you don't really miss it during most of the game imho.
