that is assuming of course you want damage vasaraga. tank vasaraga has some niche use in multiplayer for the annoying multi hunts. that gets built about how you would expect and can be pretty clutch when in a co-ordinated party.
I finally put this build together yesterday

Battalions of fear: instant distance closer and a cancel into his final charged hit
Great scythe Grynoth: completely ignores sheilds like sheild goblins and maglielle's swords. high stun value too but its mostly just used as a bridge into his charge attack on smaller openings
Ubral eclipse: on most bosses you can do a link attack and use umbral eclipse then either battalions or great scythe to land a fully charged attack and to make a big opening out of a small one. or you can use it on an enemy that is broken or about to break to extend the dps window for your team.
Immortal Pain: the damage up is virtually useless unless you need just that bit extra to reach damage cap on his light light heavy heavy but its real use is the immortality and debuff immunity. there are many bosses in the game that will go into bloodlust and sit in a central location and those are just damage windows for vasaraga. simply tank everything while dishing out as much damage as you can. this usually results in obscene meter generation too and vasaraga likes to either super first or super last because he gets to use the entirity of the team's full burst landing fully charged attacks that chunk for more than the full burst itself is likely to do.
How did you get the Ebony Poise + Sigil? Also, will you switch out the Ascension weapon for the Terminus weapon once you unlock it?
