I personally main Narm and is decent at dps but I am disappointed that her unique character sigil skills are mostly QoL instead of outright boosting dmg.
Id and Narmaya are basically the same tier. Their utility is slow which is the worst out of the control type debuffs. Id is a lot more punishing because dying while in dragon form or godmight resets him to base form. As CPU teammate is pretty bad so I would only use him as the player character.
Id at very high level investment though has a bit more potential because while slow is worse than glaciate and para, he can do 2 slow instances consecutively at the start of battle since his dragon form has a slow with a separate CD.

Current overall OP is Ferry with jump attack spam to fill gauge super fast.
DPS wise based on 60 second testing ive seen online
Vaseraga, Percival, Narmaya are probably the top three that are outliers rest is all quite similar. Dishing out 30~40m DPS at 60 seconds at training dummy.
Vaseraga Percival seems much easier than Narmaya to put out the actual DPS tho with their animation canceling especially if its not a boss that is standing still like training dummy.
I'm elitist as hell and more I search (Looking at JP,KR,EN communities) and it seems like current state of game is... something OP is getting found every other day (ferry jump attack strat) and DPS difference doesn't merit the playing one class over one that you actually like. Current proto world record is Zeta, Rackam, Ferry, and Ferry so none of the above 3 top DPS characters that I mentioned is even in lol.
There was a post about person using Id as full slow build where in 60 seconds dude can dish out slow for 50+ seconds with less than 10 second of downtime and slow is very op in this game. And getting MVP because CC contribution and buff/heal in this game's multiplayer is weighted pretty nicely.
Post about person using lancelot and perfecting his freeze CC time to make a difference between run being 2 minute and 1 minute just due to utilizing CC at right time.

If you look at the test data, id ends up being top 2 boss clear times but middleish in 30 seconds (prolly because no dragonform if i had to guess). And that somehow makes the author give him one of the lowest scores for damage and value him the lowest despite him having 2 slows for 1 skillslot.
Captain and Cagliostro both have terrible 30 sec dps and boss clear times but are valued A-tier for their buffs.
Like if youre not optimizing your loadout to the point where your damage output is optimal before you have to rely on an AI to give you damage buffs on a cooldown - what are you even doing?
Katalina has one of the slowest boss clears BY FAR!!! and somehow ends up in A-tier.
Like really what is he doing.
After playing 200 hours, I have to say that all characters are viable. On the internet, there are people showcasing their incredible DPS by hitting the dummy, but in practice, many of those characters don't have as many opportunities to perform those combos in a real combat.
Play the character whose gameplay you find the most enjoyable.
It was too early, yeah, he's either A or S.
But don't think just as DPS in this game, Ferry with her constant debuffs and slow also is golden, Io that have a huge dmg and paralyze as well, Katalina with her frozen and party immortal buff, Vane that can shield around the boss during it's rage so the party can keep hitting (although Vane users NEVER DO THAT).
