Do yellow numbers mean you're hitting damage cap?

What yellow numbers entail is that the damage of your character's element is effective to the enemy you are going against.

Train against Sir Barrold and hit him a few times. If the numbers that keep popping up are the same, you've hit damage cap.

Instead of dark blue outline, you have yellow outline for your damage numbers.

Yellow damage means you are using the right element. You also have a damage limit increase when using the right element.
If you are hitting for the same number of damage all the time then you have hit your current damage cap.
