Hard FPS drops
Hey there,
I noticed some hard fps drops below 60.
My hardware:
Win 11
32 GB ram @3600mhz
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
RTX 2070 Super

Even on low settings I get low fps in some areas.
Help please!

Same here on a very similar setup

2070 Super
5600x
32 GB 3200 MHz

drops below 60, min 52 so far on every setting, changing settings barely seem to do any difference.

Update drivers, run game in fullscreen instead of borderless or windowed are two common solutions. Might be linked to windows 11, cause I'm running this on a very similar similar setup, 5600x, 3060, and the game runs flawlessly, doesn't even budge from 120 fps. Machine is well maintained too, which might be another difference, all my drivers are updated, from mobo drivers to chipset drivers to bios drivers to gpu drivers.. etc.. Another thing to look out for is if something is taking an inordinate amount of resources in task manager, like, not many people seem to understand that runnins 2000 browser tabs take resources.

Edit: Is your game installed on an SSD ? Double-triple check. That is part of the minimum system requirements, and would cause fps drops when streaming in textures and such from a HDD.

Nah, I run the game clean with nothing on the back and still get frame dip to 50 and so on. I can't imagine how the game could run 120 FPS without budging on a 3060 honestly. The only thing I can think of is that I am playing on 2k, but it doesn't change much on 1080p either for me. Game just doesn't want to utilize my CPU. Played around with PBO settings but it didn't do any difference for me. I am also on the latest drivers.

Yeah the fact that it doesn't change even when you change settings/resolution tells me it's a resolvable external factor, something like this:

I can assure you I run it flawlessly at 120fps on my rig. Or I mean, you can just dismiss me and I'll move on. I'm doing this for you guys.

I am running on an SSD too.

Update: I just realized you need to restart the game in order for the Texture setting to change. Also, running on 1080p did give me quite an FPS boost this time for some reason. So yeah, I think 2070 Super is not capable of running this game on 1440p above 60 stable. I will probably play it 1080p.

yeah I play it in 1080p myself. 2k is essentially the real resolution marketed as 4k, and is 4 times as big as 1080p, that's a lot to process for a 2070, I think.

jeah same for me. changing resolution gives me a little fps boost, but nothing else helps.
is it maybe a 2070 super problem? rolling back to old driver? I will try it and give you feedback, if this helps.

I can play almost every game with more than 100+ fps on high-ultra settings at 1440p, but this game not... 1080p is so blurry...

by the way, my cpu is relaxing at 30-40% usage, while my GPU at 100% usage is...

Turn off vsync in game. In Nvidia control panel put it ultra low latency. Maybe use GPU scaling for psuedo dlss but it's up to you. In town and in cutscenes the fps is lower no matter what. In town I notice it stars low but speeds up after some time. It's probably due to things loading in. In stages it runs better.

My spec is i7 10700 + 3080 10gb, i used to play at 2k ultrawide mode and get 90-120fps on ultra but oneday i opened the game and its go straight down to 38-45 fps in town and fps keep drop to under 60 in combat.
