Yes, we should try to respect people's wishes to a reasonable extent. Yes, most people, including me, go on about our days not worrying about this whole culture war or whatever (until we get affected by it, of course). We all know this. This whole problem isn't here because people aren't doing these things. And yes, if a friend asked me to refer to him as an attack helicopter, I'd do it for the laughs but I'd be sincerely worried for him, too. Because there's an underlying problem there, and playing along to make him feel better doesn't really solve it.

Every single case i see involves an institution or company, you might not like to hear it but the professor works for the school and laws are usually way more rigorous for institutions than individuals for obvious reasons, i'll give you a hint: money, the one paying the 400K is not the teacher, it's the school, the same way that any company has to pay for any of their employees ♥♥♥♥ ups.
