I'm playing mostly solo as well but I don't mind it since I was planning on upgrading multiple characters anyway
Edit: Nevermind, just watched Arrekz and there is matchmaking, NICE!!!
The AI party members are the gods of dodging, stupidity and inefficiency.
1. If they have perfect dodge, they would perfect dodge 90% of the time. And proceed to keep dodging follow up attacks as though their perfect dodge didn't give them temp invincibility
2. They aren't the best at their character mechanics. Or efficiency in general. If you set their limit breaks to auto, watch them limit break one half dead peon. And if you don't, they will only limit break bosses after you.
3. Nor are they the best at gimmicks. So if there is a gimmick mission like "defeat 4 enemies with thrown items" you can be sure that they would beat up all the enemies before you could even throw anything. If there is a gimmick that says "Blighted floor, do not step". They will step, take damage, and slowly die.
Game is still fun solo though. At least until you complete the story, then its... significantly grindier.
Seeing an AI at 10% HP = Chill
I know what that AI has and set them up to not only survive at low hp, but live there and pump damage because of it.
