Fate Episodes bugged, not unlocking for some characters past 3/11 in episode 8...

Some characters work fine, but some are stuck at 3/11 on fate episodes, they are around level 40 so seemed like a bug?

Some of the characters have up to level 6/11 unlocked, the others are stuck at 3/11 saying continue story, but I'm on episode 8 so I'm way past the story requirement.

Can you tell me which characters? So I can have a look at what the requirements are

After beating story episode 8 a lot of them opened up.
As an example, Zeta was stuck at 3/11 but after beating Episode 8 of Story, it lets me do Fate Episode 4, and the requirement on story was "Clear Primal Beast Resurrected" which I believe was way earlier in the story since the character level requirement is Level 10.
maybe they added some workaround in 1.0.4 to unstuck these /shrug

That said, I'm in the Volcano place for that Fate Episode 4... maybe these really were just all locked behind clearing Story Episode 8...

I'm having the same issue. beat the main story but im stuck at fate episode 6 or so on most characters. the requirements will say stuff like "finish episode 5" even though ive beaten the entire main story.

Same mistake I made. The "Clear Episode 3" and all that is referring to the Fate Episode. Not your actual in-game story chapter. Just keep going through the story. Some of the characters get the literal short end of the stick with all their Fate Episodes unlocked late.

I am having the same issue. I got the Captain at Fate Episode 6 and all my characters are now stuck at "progress the main story" even though I have finished the main story on Hard difficulty even. Just got to "End Game" or "New Game +" what ever it is and was going to finish all the Fate Episodes and it's just stuck there saying Progress Main Story on all of the characters at around Episode 6, yet I've beaten the entire game...

I am going to guess that the game wants you to also complete "Chapter Zero" (the postgame story). I can understand why you'd assume the story was over, but you're not quite done yet.

Yeah, you are correct. I just figured it out and came back to update the post.
Thanks btw. Yeah, for those who are stuck, you must go and talk to a "Certain Character" by the doors of Rolans Church. Finish that Quest with them and viola, all is right with the world. lol

you need to get the achievement the followup fates require. Like killing angra mainyu 3 times or killing bahamut or using SBA 30 times against certain enemy.
