If FF 14 got a overhaul for it's combat system.
This is probably what it looks like. I played FF 14. Not a bad game but end game content is extremely boring to me. Made for people who just want cute things. PVP is non existence.

The crazy boss fight in end game feels more like a ballroom dance then an actual boss fight. You need to move to position A when boss do this, you move to position B when boss do that, so on an so forth.

Granblue has almost the same type of boss like FF 14 but the difference is, you can react differently to the boss attack like a souls like game, even though it isn't a souls like game.

I hope end game content would not be like FF 14 final dungeons boss fight. It would be a let down for me.

I used to play XIV but stopped because I did not like the direction the game was going.

I personally would love Cygames to make a Granblue Fantasy MMORPG with gameplay similar to Relink.

This games Single Player runs have serious Dungeon vibes and bosses have serious Trial vibes as well.

Hell... this game has a better Limit Break system than XIV.

Well XIV stick to FF's classic Limit Break. GB relink's is acutally more similar to Valkryie Profile's

FFXIV is a MMORPG whit boss fights that revolve around learning mechanics. This game is an Action game that just happens to have leveling and stats but it has more in common whit DMC or Monster hunter than FFXIV.

I have only played 1 Valkyria Profile game so I am not too familiar how the system there runs now, I just linked GBF:R Ougi's with XIV's Limit Breaks and compared how much better GBF:R's is because the whole party can have their moment of glory while in XIV, you have to charge it up and hold it for the Healer if the fight goes south or hold it for a DPS to deal that extra 5% HP Chip Damage before enrage.

well, in this game you also have to decide who starts it and sometimes wait, because the the final team attack is different based on how did the first super.

FF14 is designed from ground up to be packet based MMO. This is a peer2peer action game.

FF14 is an old mmo. Newer MMO has better combat that is pretty much action game level smooth.
I have no issues with the way things are in FFXIV. It's my favorite game. But I've always thought that having a real time combat system like GBF would be really cool. A lot fights in savage/ultimate (end game content) are things like stack, spread, or move to certain positions to pass the mechanic. Some require you to pair off with another player or split your group in some way. I don't think any of that would change with this kind of combat system, which would be perfectly fine. It would probably speed up the fights quite a bit. If SE ever makes another MMO, I'd be happy to see it have a similar playstyle to this game.

What they need to do is make it like their PvP which it's combat is miles better than PvE oddly enough.
