So I've only watched the anime

I actually watched it because of this game getting announced and looking so cool. Its occurred to me now though that I might be totally lost in the plot without having played the mobile game?

I heard if you saw the first 2 seasons of the anime that's basically more than enough to understand this game. In fact, it's better to have seen the anime than to go in blind, since they assume you know some things (although the game still has a glossary to look up terms).

If they would start at the current mobile story point the mc could be too op depending on what timeline they take.

Could go from strong human to demi-god if not godlike being that can go toe to toe with strongest astrals and win while being handicaped.

They should have started it from the bad ending you get after unlocking the Alter Ego skin.

I was hoping the story of this game would cover everything from the start, oh well I guess.

The characters bring you up to speed, in fact the exposition is quite corny sometimes, but it's an entirely new tale that doesn't really reference much of the OG Granblue story outside of the basics.

The first season is one of the most gorgeous looking anime I've ever seen. Second season is way more standard looking. They moved over to Mappa before mappa was also making the most gorgeous looking anime you've ever seen. I really wish they would make more, but hey I've got this now.

yeah thaat would have been nice.... but well.

I still hope for a more open world like game in the granblue world. Maybe HSR like even.
