You've got to use Link Time. If you're unable to kill it during a Link Time burst, your damage might not be currently good enough.

you can remove the buff with dispel that multiple characters have. Ferry, MC and Zeta, for example. They deal a lot of damage, so just be careful afterwards! edit: changed debuff to buff, thanks Raikao for the correction.

I never had to use link time for it. I just had enough damage to kill it.
Just equip stuff like Stamina or Tyranny, which are massive damage boost, and you'll be fine.
