How do you reliably break parts?
Can't for the life of me figure out how to get 8 parts broken on furycane without killing it in a minute.

Yeha.. I dont know, my theory is triggering breaks but Im not sure how reliable that is. This game is typical for asian games. Block and hide all possible useful information lol

stun stat = link attack = break parts.

use a fast attacker with a flurry moveset such as yoda
with unleveled asura
stun power imbue
all stun sigils
you want to maximize number of hits to stop the bar from going down quickly (especially on smaller mobs) and have as many link attacks as possible.

i haven't noticed if the broken parts only happen when link attack is triggered, or if they happen whenever.

i'm pretty sure the idea in the game is that quicker attacker do less damage by design because they trigger more links, but i haven't played any heavy hitters to see a difference in link generation.

Break depends on pin-point attacks and of course Weakness elements, have easier chance.

Link is 100% not break. Cause you can link attack 3x in combat and still see 0/8 broken parts.

Trying to figure this out, myself. In the fight I just had against Furycane we took out 2/8 and I'm not even sure how we did it, since it's not easy to track what's already been broken either. It melted so fast.

EDIT:
I did it.
- Went offline / played it with AI Party
- Used my Stunner weapon on Lancelot and applied Stun sigils to him, replacing some of his Attack ones, but any fast ATKspeed char will work
- Broken parts are visibly broken, and COME BACK during the fight, as well as during Furycane's transformation, so you can break them again
- I hit 8/8 parts broken when it was around 20% HP

You can break part with Stun stat, no need to attack link. (I did it with Rackam at 400 Stun stat)
Just i don't think part break with Blood state or Break State.
At the start of the battle you can break 4 of the legs of Furicane and he regenerate this legs so...
At 60% Furicane Transform, I don't know were you can break him like that maybe is Armor at the right-down on it.
Good Luck for Furicane !

I have broken parts when they are in overdrive if that's what you meant by blood state.

Get a weaker weapon. Whatever counts for the break stat DOES NOT scale with your regular damage. If you are damaging it enough to wipe it out in 1 minute, you are clearly overspecced for the job.

If everyone is maxed out, get the one with faster attacks, and maybe solo it.

You will want to hit the breakable parts exclusively. Some bosses like the primal w/e regenerate those parts eventually. Some bosses like the dragon, do not.

You don't have to link to break it.
after you break a part, you have to wait for the blue bar depleted to be able to break again. most likely you can't break 8 times if you beat the boss in a minute.

Just want to say, the elephant in the room is "Breaking" feels really tacked on and arbitrary, it's a puzzle condition you're going to run into and if you want to achieve the rank you have to see the fight that way, otherwise as someone else put it you're just "overspecc'd" or, rather, you're not playing the way the game designer "wants" you to play.

It's really hard to tell, but racking up the Stun Power does help, it can be a crapshoot on Quick Mission so if you're trying to adhere to what the designers want, definitely stack that stat.

got it in 4 fights, wasn't able to get to the spear any of the runs.

Yeah it's just the horns on their heads, nothing else. Pretty straightforward if you know what you're doing.

Lot of confusion and incorrect information in this thread.

Stun Power is what allows you to break parts easier. It's stated directly in the game itself, so the only way that's wrong is if the game is lying/incorrect.

The blue bar is for Link Attacks and has nothing to do with breaking parts. You can break parts through normal hits, skills, whatever. Link Attacks are actually bad for breaking specific parts since they always go for a specific spot on the enemy instead of where you want to aim.

Furycane's legs can be broken when in horse mode and breaking 3 of them will cause her to kneel like she entered Break status. You can use that time to break the last leg. She will regenerate all 4 legs when she gets back up, which allows you to break all 4 again as necessary. This is why I know the Link(blue) bar has nothing to do with breaks. I have broken two legs back to back within seconds of each other.

You can break parts in the human mode as well but because of how high she is and how much she moves, I really recommend a ranged character. If you break the sword, she will fall over like she's in Break status, just like in the horse mode, allowing you to break additional parts if necessary.

Hope this helps you all with future part-breaking endeavors and specifically Furycane.

Matra is correct, damage to parts is tracked till they break from what i can see. nothing to do with link, blue bars, or the "break" stage of the game.
