DLSS/FSR mod?
Does anyone know if anyone is working on this at the moment or how possible that can be?

It may not even be possible to make a DLSS mod for it. If it is possible, it may take quite a while.

That sucks but expected... Guess i'll have to play it on PS5 for now and upgrade my PC next month lmao. Getting tired of changing graphics cards so frequently lately to play 4K.

Yeah the sad life of PC gaming. Optimise the bare minimum amount and just expect gamers to brute force your games framerate with overkill hardware.

I want to hate consoles but I can see the appeal in current years.

Actually, I just found out that the PS5 version is 1080p so I think i'll just stick the game to 1440p on PC as a compromise for now.

4k is a high bar. Not even consoles run this game native 4k60. It's upscaled on PS5 from 1440p iirc.

GUYS THERE IS A MOD what totally works with this game and tales of arise

this software called LOSSLESS SCALING you can buy it in steam 6 dollars but its worth it

its above 60 fps with fsr upscale in this game, above that they made a mod what enable frame generation in almost all aaa titles using fsr and you can download it from nexus

YOU BASICALLY CAN DOWNLOAD FPS

but somehow what you call a "weird makeshift homebrew engine" runs better than anything unreal engine in the past years, no shader stutter, nothing. just 100% consistent 120fps with perfect frame pacing, for me.

no actually tales of arise give you more fps in native - any resolution using unreal engine 4

this game is ok optimized but again no fsr or dlss - easy to add, guys totally do the job - but somehow never consider ultrawide support and dlss / fsr support as well

main issue about this game its fps can drop from 70 to 20, with high resolution, for no reason, above all that - only 3 graphic options what not even doing anything - like lighting only can give +5 fps and thats it.

at least you can use lossless scaling old version of the software to upscale 2k to 4k and play like this game using fsr 3.0

the game is optimized fine
im not sure what you're complaining about
i get a consistent 1440p 110-120 fps with a 6800xt
hardly the most powerful gpu out there

yeah man its like you bought 3090 ti and be like - its not very powerfull gpu

are you ok there - its one of the most op gpu outwhere with 16 gb freaking vram

most of the steam users got 3060 or 1660 still

lol

"hardly the most powerful gpu out there"

wtf

and tales of arise had shader compiling stutter, is it so hard to read my post correctly?

I answer to your bull about unreal engine against custom engine

this game got frame drops even in trailers - then golem use an attack and etc

i dk what are you trying to prove here

optimized game cant go from 80 fps to 40, without any bottleneck, im not saying its bad

but its also far away from ideal

Most of the game is optimized just fine yeah but there is some weird ♥♥♥♥ going on with conversations in town which spike to 100% GPU usage and power limit this doesn't seem right and i wouldn't be surprised if it kills some cards.

Upscalers could definitely help to lighten the load a bit there not to mention it's also better anti aliasing then the TAA the game uses.

Lossless Scaling don't work fine with this game. We tried with my friend RTX3070, the 4K monitor and this tool, to run the game at several lower resolution like 2560x1440, etc., scaled to 3860x2160. We tried all proposed algorithmes (NIS, FSR, etc.) without the frame generation. The Nvidia overlay display 60fps (his monitor refresh rate), but it feel like 20fps, slow, stuttering, etc..
Not sure it's this tool the problem, as this game have a weird monitor management, only compatible with 16:9 resolution, and standard ones 3860x2160, 2560x1440, 1920x1080 and 1280x720 (not sure about the last one, can't remember). The game is not compatible with NVidia NIS resolutions (spacial upscale), or any custom resolution like 16:9 3200x1800 don't appear on resolution choice.
It seems a good game, but a poor port...
