So, i was really interested in playing this game, but the early reviews concerned me. The only complains are about optimization or theres something else?

Crash issue aside, wich is a critical problem

I'd advise not to read review on steam, it's rarely worth the time. I mean... Even "pro" aren't worth to read quite often, and they're supposed to have a 3year ddegree in university in thi domain. So random people on steam ?

If the crash problem is resolved, I'd recommend you to look neutral gameplay with no fellow overeacting every 5 secondes, or play it yourself less than two hours to get an idea.

Only my opinion tho.

Biggest issue is the optimization and the settings.

This game runs worse than Eldenring and Yakuza 8 on my system and the graphic setting is really bare bone.

Because Yakuza 8 looks like ♥♥♥♥ and Elden Ring is also 2 years old and not graphically impressive. And I like both games but taking them as a comparison for optimization is whack. Elden Ring had some of the worst optimization ever at launch on PC.

another issue people bring up is that the script is utterly butchered by whatever team was responsible for translation, so usual fare for any japanese to english game

It doesn't seem like you're wrong. I have a friend running a 2060 having no problems, but I only managed to get a title screen once on a high end, i9 13900K 4090 rig. With my setup, I should be having zero issues.

Game runs flawlessly for me with a 3070 on ultra in 1440p. I haven't tried 4k 'cause I was too busy playing for hours.

The subtitles aren't based on the Japanese voices either from what I noticed so it's weird it's off in English too.
