We have received reports of an issue where the game becomes unplayable (crashes) for some users.

I was in the process of returning this game because of not being able to access it due to
the black screen syndrome. So, I made a last ditch effort by adjusting the video display settings from 3440 x 1440 to 2560 x 1440 and the game fired right up! I managed to cancel the refund process too!

Black screen before/during/after logos at startup. Sometimes it doesn't make it to any logos at all. Sometimes it gets through them all and hangs after the animation in the bottom right. If I repeat often enough, I can eventually get into the game, and it plays very well!

I have the highest chance of success when starting the game immediately after a reboot, but it eventually hangs anyways.

One example of this:
I was saved just before exiting the first town.

After about 10 attempts to start the program, I eventually got to the main menu. Once in the game, I went through the dialog, but when the airship turned to leave, I hung.

About another 10 attempts to start, I got to the main menu again. Hung again at the same point-- when the airship turned to leave.

I did a reboot and launched the game immediately after. I made it past the airship, and beat the wind boss, but hung immediately after that.



The hang happens seemingly regardless of resolution, or borderless/windowed/fullscreen.
