Quick fix "help me keep on front page"
Ok this is what worked for me and will hopefully work for most of you. Let me know in comments. Go into your bios settings. (MSI boards hold delete at startup). Turn off/set to 0 your e-cores. (Usually under advance settings in the overclock menu. OC menu will show up if u turn on advance menu. F7 for MSI. F10 to save settings). If you are just gaming there is no need to have e-cores on (unless you have multiple things running all the time). If you want to turn your e-cores back on I recommend playing till the start of chapter 1. Should work fine from there though some cut scenes may require you to keep the e-cores off. I personally have not run into one yet. Anyways if this works for you let me know. And if this is a true solution for most of ya plz keep this thread at the top of the page so we can stop the review bombs.

This ^ But i recommend getting past the cutscene after chapter 1, mine always crashes during the cutscene where grandcypher starts to fly.

Not everyone has a 12th+ gen Intel CPU. This isn't the "Ultimate fix" as you believe it is. Not to mention many people use AMD as well, so this doesn't help them either.

So... don't overclock and instead be a sane person who cares about their hardware?

I crash on the end of chapter 3 cutscene, pretty sure I don't have e-cores on but we'll see.

It's not about overclocking it's this thing with 12th 13th gen CPUs and that setting is usually default on. I crashed on end of Chapter 3 cutscene and will try this fix and report back. I fail constantly loading up (coin flip) and I failed on Chapter 1 cutscene as well first time.

Edit: So far turning off my E Cores in BIOS has removed the coin flip on start up, haven't had any cut scene crashes since then knock on wood.

Anyone know if the 7800 x3d causes issues with the game? I only see people with intel CPUs posting having issues.

I got an i5 6600k my friend. Tough luck for me u.u. Even though other games like Lord of the Fallen for example that "aren't supposed to work" for me least let the game run until the menu, or even play until x issue occurs (though now there's almost no problem with that game).

I have seen 0 people with AMD CPUs complain. The common threads I see are windows 11 and any intel cpu manufactured since 2021.

Also happy to report it runs great on steam deck for those that have it.

I don’t own the game… but anytime I experience a problem with a game, it’s because of windows 11 HAGS feature. I just disable that… may be the issue here to if anyone wants to try disabling it and trying again.
mf never heard of task manager

I'm not going to permanently shut off my e-cores just to play a single game as I use them for other things and my problem isn't to the start of chapter 1, it's the very end of it that I cannot get past, and then it fully breaks the game to the point where I can't even load it again. While this may work for some people, shutting off my e-cores manually through task manager also doesn't fix the problem, so this isn't the fix.

i have an i5 12600K and the game runs perfectly fine for me despite me having issues with ecores in the release version of wolong (100% confirmed - turned them off in bios and game ran substantially better after that).

I have since updated my bios and my windows 10. I heard a later patch fixed ecores on windows 10 for games but i really dont know.

I know in wolong people also used process lasso for ecore stuff - might be worth a read.

yeah, and that's the problem I keep having and shutting off the ecores doesn't help. I was able to partially get past it by unplugging my controller, but it crashed at the very end of the cs so it's not even triggering a checkpoint.

I have a 5700X and 6700XT. Got it to launch with Process Lasso once and never again after that.
