Bought it right away for my steamdeck. It work well right out of the box. Standard is the default settings and recommended for now. It run stable at 30fps for me. I tried 60 fps but it not stable and fluctuate between 40-55 fps. you can lock the deck to 40fps if you want. however, there is some scene like the first time you arrive in village, the fps suddenly drop below 30.
Edit 1: After few configurations, i find out Proton Experimental give a little bit of boost to fps. I also use cryoutilities recommended settings. It does look very good and stable. However wont fix the fps drop on village. That area not properly optimised. However, the combat is flawless. For those wiling to juice a bit of performance, can try cryoutilities. However, my best advice is to just play at 30fps or 40fps. The battery drain is real. Turn vsync off in the game.
The combat is surprisingly smooth and really make me giggle. Pretty impressive gameplay and the AI is smart. The default control on steamdeck already good enough, but may adjust it to suit your need. Like the sprint button, i set my L4 for sprint.
Overall, i think this is a good game to pickup for steam deck. I may change my review depending on what i may encounter in the future of gameplay.
Edit:
Following the advice of the post above, I set the compatibility to Proton Experimental and it pumps out a few more FPS to keep it a constant 30fps in town. Setting the Forced FPS in the Steam graphics setting to 40fps (40Hz), you can squeeze about 2 hours off a single battery charge.
