Potential Black Screen Issue Fix
Simply don't press anything while the game is booting until first time set up appears. If you have a controller plugged in, unplugging it temporarily may help, but I didn't need to do that to get past the bug.

You can also try: Disable Steam Overlay
Disable Steam input
Restart PC
Run Steam/The game as admin
Turn off Vysnc initially (probably need to use nvidia control panel for this since you can't get to the options menu.)
Also under in your nvidia control panel under manage 3d settings restored to default
Verify Game Files

I'm not pressing anything, the game flashes for a second 5 seconds after click play on steam, then the game says it's not responding.

Not pressing anything worked a while back on my old computer for a game I can't remember what it was that had sort of this issue. For me what fixed it was I did a restart of steam and put started it in administrator mode (not sure if this had any effect) and also I disabled the bluetooth on PC so controller was not connected.

O I forgot I did a restart of the computer just to make sure before I did anything. And finaly it worked.
My guess is that it was the xbox elite controller v2 problem when starting the game somehow.

Try some of the other things I put/posted here.

Tried them all. Nothing. (u.u). Already wasted 40 min. On the task manager the game is not using CPU (jumps from 0 to 0.7% tops). No drive usage as well (Installed on m.2 drive). Also no usage on GPU. Weird.

Very weird issue, apologies. I imagine these things will (hopefully) be patched rather quickly, but as people find out more about these issues, if any 100% fix comes in I'll edit the OP.

guess i'll just wait for a patch to fix that, tried everything and nothing worked, the game launches and if i press something it stops working, but if i don't the game just doesn't start anyway so whatever

Besides doing everything OP said i also under in your nvidia control panel under manage 3d settings restored to default then verified files for the game on steam. Afterwards game worked and no longer stuck at just blackscreen and freeze

Ty, included it in the op for others to try.

Seems to be a Intel CPU problem. The only fix possible is to wait for the devs.

I can restart my PC and get the game to load once, after that it won't load. Worse now I've finished the main story, and once the credits finish the game freezes 100% of the time. I have tried all online fixes to no avail...

OK to anyone with a CPU problem (intel), you can try using a program called "CPUCores" and disable hyper-threading. I think there's a free program that can do the same but I'm not sure

Same thing happening here, game crashes 100% of the time after the ending credits cutscene, doesn't matter if i skip it or watch it till the end.

what helped me do fix it was open another game and dont close it. then Start Granblue and it was working always
