Only 10 hours?

I saw on YouTube a reviewer said the story can be completed in 10 hours. 20 if you do other stuff.

First of all I have no idea how much dialog they skipped to get there that fast but they definitely did. Second of all even if and I do mean IF the story was that short that would be fine. The majority of the game is the quest mode.

Realistically you will probably get 18-20 hours out of the story from what I heard and then a hundred if not hundreds of hours from the quest mode.

ye and after the story starts the 50h grind fest like in monhun.

noone should buy this for the story. its all about the grind

"Quest Mode" is basically the after story grind. Where you fight bosses and progress your "gears" and lvl you characters. Repeat a lot of times till you get to the harder difficulties and more better "gears"

From reviews they are stating completing the story between 12-15 hours. Maybe it will be longer for the normal person. The real content seemingly appears to be after the game though. It would appear more lore for individual characters are also spread about. So "story" may be as long as the additional content is depending how you feel about things.

so lil context: i been following dedicated Granblue player who is a high rank in gacha and fan of the franchise.
So from his playthrough it took about 15h with side quest to finish story, but main challenge only starts after story is done. And i fully expect Devs to continue support in the future by adding raids like Super (ultimate) Bahamut, Six dragons and things like Azure/Golden Knight.

Tbh it sounds like smaller scale monster hunter world in terms of content. Could be just fine imo depending on the price of the game.

I think the comparaison to MH is a big mistake, they are not the same type of game. It's a lot closer to a White Knight Chronicles than anything else.

Majority of the time goes for endgame and hunting down endgame tough bosses. Just like Monster hunter world. The story was small asf, but endgame HUGE

It's closer to Monster Hunter in terms of gameplay loop than WKC. Combat wise, it's not comparable to either

12 to 15 hours? depending on the price that's not bad.. but I for one do not like Monster Hunter (took me longer to type that out then finish the story) style games where the story is so short but they expect you to keep playing just to "get better gear" what exactly are you getting better gear for? to get even better gear??
