but yea, if you absolute do not want to invest any time doing single player, then the games not for you
Isn't it weird story mode is not coop? To me it's weird a bit but still can't say much as I don't know about this franchise. We will give it a chance, refund is an option. Game looks nice I want to try for 2 hours at least.
would i prefer being able to play it in multiplayer? well yes of course.
i will warn you tho, within 2 hours you will barely scratch the surface. game is super easy early on, especially if you play on easy to get thru faster. most gameplay mechanics are locked behind completing the main story. pretty much once you reach very hard/maniac difficulty and reach lvl 80+ the game just throws new ways of progression and build diversity at you.
you constantly unlock new stuff and difficulty is kinda low till you reach "legendary skyfarer" rank which ecompasses the last 2 difficulties (idk if theres more coming after, im currently halfway through the proud difficulty).
No one has played any game in this franchise in the vein of a arpg. This is the first game like this. There is a mobile game but that's not in America I don't think and there is a lightning game. There's also the anime that's on fumigation right now but from my understanding this is kind of standalone. Maybe you might surprisingly enjoy the story but yea as everyone has said before you unlock the multi-player as you play solo. And after the game is beat, toy get access to the harder difficulties of quests.
Thanks for your detailed information. When online quests starting to shown by the way? When you reach that general hub area that I've seen on videos? I've seen play online option there.
If it can give me some Monster Hunter vibes I think I can handle story mode and finish solo quests as soon as possible. Boss fights and general gameplay looks great to me.
