We'll have to see how the scaling goes when the level cap is raised. And let's be real, when Japanese developers do demos it's usually a pretty old (but stable) build that the latest build has deviated from quite a bit. And even so, following the demo, there could've been tuning changes too.

Plus I'm honestly leaning more towards Yoda myself, team mirror images is an insanely useful buff and his more fleshed out kit seems more fun for long term gameplay.

Plus a lot of Charlotta's power only comes from not getting hit to max out the 120% attack buff, take a single hit and there goes your damage. Making her a bad pick for learning fights, which lets be real, most of us will be until endgame. The fact the benchmark being used is a big slow golem with predictable attacks tuned for low level players is really not indicative of endgame. hell from what we saw from the stream, endgame is going to involve a lot of getting hit and having a healer to deal with it...

While I get this mentality because mathematically superior dps is always a draw, and metas are a valid way to play...

I think that games like Monster Hunter show us that most people aren't generally good enough to play the glass cannon. That and people will play what they like and most others won't really be too bothered.

So long as the balance isn't wildly out of whack, I think every character will have a place. Maybe an all out dps group will work, but it will mean you basically can't afford to take a hit. You can get some great footage if you manage it.

But hopefully the balance is made so you will greatly appreciate the tank/healer roles showing up and making it so you have wriggle room. Especially if said roles also seem to be applying plenty of damage and such.

I don't play the gremlin because I think she's meta, I play the Gremlin cause she smol, have box stand on when victorious, fly across screen to open boxes first unless someone also fly across screen that isn't Charlotta.
