Yeah, was gonna say. But no UW has never been a deal-breaker to me, so I just don't understand the "No UW. No buy." crowd.

You need to go back to math classes.
Have fun raging, Ima enjoy the game. Toodles
Who do you feel so passionately against a game supporting ultrawide resolutions? I don't get it. It has absolutely zero effect on your experience with the game while enhancing others'. You guys fanboy over a game so hard that you need to protest any criticism thrown at it. Kinda cringe
no one does
people are more against ultrawide users inflated sense of importance

"Inflated sense of importance" by asking to support ultrawide. OK

Nice self-defeating comment. If most users don't take the survey, how many of the few who answer it use UW means nothing. For all you know the vast majority of UW users just don't bother with the survey.

I use 3440 x 1440 which is 34" ultra wide.

Steam survey says 2.23% of all users play in this resolution on primary monitor. That is the 6th most popular resolution, pretty close to 4K monitors(3.7%), all devs should be supporting these resolutions in 2024, its one line of code...

stop making excuses for lazy work. With 33 million users on Steam, 2.23% = 735,900 gamers on my UW resolution alone, so its well over 2 million in total using UW.
Not sure what you call one line of code, but proper ultrawide support is a lot more work then you think.

Just look at all the newer games coming out that everyone claims support ultrawide just because those resolutions show up in the option menus. But then if you look closer barely any of are compatible with ultrawide because in 80% of these games there is unwanted cropping going on, mostly in the UI where the top and bottom side is cut off even in a lot of cases even the main menu has that problem.

And yes I am using ultrawide with an aspect ratio of 32:9, which makes above problems even more visible then the more used 21:9 apsect ratio. So yes even having black bars by putting my monitor in a 16:9 aspect ratio or even just by the game not giving me the option of the ultrawide resolutions. As that is better then having above problems which makes a game nice to look at but in a lot of cases unplayable.

Im more mad about the stupid borderless. Like it doesnt even add the black bar on the screen it just removes that border and that's it. Just glorified windowed mode.

millions of people own ultrawide eh?

I don't have ultrawide but games should support all resolutions your monitor can spit out. It's not hard. I mean they already have to kind of support 16:10 and 16:9 so they better make the UI behave properly. As in keep elements on the left, right, top and bottom aligned properly to the border of any resolution. And scale it accordingly so that it's not gonna fill half the screen at 720p. I'd say the vast majority of games do this.

Just go get an LG C2 oled and put it beside your ultra wide, thats what I do.

no. support multiple resolutions if your gonna release on pc. its what pc gaming is all about everyone has a different set up

Genuine question here, is this a game displays 16:9 with black bars at the sides issue? Or a game gets super zoomed in and you can't see anything issue? Or is it black bars but HUD is super zoomed in and messed up?

Frankly I'm happy to play with black bars assuming the HUD isn't weird and messed up.

Yeah because this totally applies to everyone, ya know like laptops. Which for example 1600p is becoming a very common resolution on high end models.
