This game's core slow-mo mechanic would not work in a PvP context.
Multi-player is also a much bigger effort than adding workshop+mapmaker, especially if you consider collisions that don't favor the host. And a split-screen couch-CoOp would just crunch the view-port and camera-settings into oblivion.
Few objective based racing games have accessible online multiplayer. Especially when there's just 1 developer. Multiplayer is typically 1+ developers entire job.
I'm not against multiplayer. I just think there are bigger more time-effective fish to fry.
