I have the Civ IV complete edition on CD

Since it came with no CD key how do I add this to steam? Is it even reccomended?

I think you can request a steam key at http://support.2k.com/hc/en-us
Send them a photo to prove you own the game.

Yeah, and would be better with a post-it with your email. If they send you a key they'll do it to that one.

You don't need to get another key. Just add it as a non steam game.

Do not think they will send a key, because to post a copy from the photo from that game could have done everyone ... too many people try to cheat.
I bought it from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ a minute ago, was/is on sale for 4.- EUR (all 4 games) just to have the collection and to play with my brother MP Colonisation MODS ,,, hate them that they removed the possibility to play MP with Mods in Civ V and BE :-( ... but hate that Stack of doom in CIV IV ... maybe you look at that shop my key is working

If you take as many pictures/screen shots as possible of all the various things attached to your purchase as possibe, they are willing to give it out.
Civ4 is, afterall, a rather old game and as long as they have documentation, they're free with it.
