Beyond The Sword Text XML Problem
So on the sale I got this game just now, and civ 4 works just fine but when I run beyond the sword it had a few XML errors, but the game still ran. However a lot of the text becomes TXT_KEY_...... I tried deleting everything and reinstalling but nothing fix it. Please help!

uninstalling the game doesnt remove everything, theirs extra files in your documents folder documents/my games/beyond the sword

not sure if that will help removing them though

Have you tried to change the language to "English (US)" fixed some people's issues with the Text XML errors.

try to switch language to english in the "documents civ4 folder". (documents/my games/beyond the sword)

open civilization4.ini, go to

; English(0),French(1),German(2),Italian(3),Spanish(4) - Defaults to user-installed language

and try to put

Language = 0


This worked for me

That full-of-chinese site was quite suspicious but it worked for me too!
1. Click the blue button(left one) and download it on the steamlibrary/steamapps/common/sid's civilization4/BTS folder
2. Run the file and find all xml file and Convert all
3. At least for me, it worked
