How to disable nukes?
In another installation of mine I changed something based on some online instructions, which made I think the Manhattan project not researcable and thus while the rest of the game was not affected (other than space victory perhaps?), no players human or ai could build nukes. Not talking about a mod, just some change to a file. Unfortunately I no longer remember what that was as it was years ago and I can't find the info online any more. just vague suggestions or non helpful answers. Anyone can help me with this?

I found the solution in a very easy to follow video from few years back.
I will link it here in case anyone else wants to find it out.
Basically it disabled the Manhattan project from every appearing for research.
The title of the video is "...Mod" but there is no need to install any mod, just follow the instructions in the video.

Because the AI uses it without any sanity. Everything goes out of the window and it ends up becoming a race who manages to have the most nukes to destroy the other the faster. With nukes disabled there is a slower paced game, there are no magical bs missiles and finally no serious chance of global warming.

Plus for the life of me I can't think of a single game I liked nukes since the 80s. The closest was Conflict Europe.
