"fall from Heaven" is astounishingly well done, but once you have understood how it works, I think the AI is too weak for a challenge. So I usuallu get bored before the end of the game.
Well, I'm speaking from old memories since I've never been able to install those mods on steam. (I had CIV4 Cds, but it wouldn't install on my new PC, so I got it on steam)
(sorry for the bad english.)
Rhye's And Fall
Conflict on Chiron (it's Alpha Centauri in Civ4 engine, great)
Fall From Heaven and its 20000+ modmods. I personally prefer Master of Mana, although it got pretty wonky as the versions kept coming and the game became less and less like vanilla civ.
caveman2cosmos - This mod adds a prehistoric period of humanity, a huge amount of new stuff.
There are many modpacks at CivFanatics, choose anyone of your liking.
they are extremely ugly. I'm not a vain person but the people behind the mod thought this was an improvement? I dread any other changes they might have made.
Everything you write is written in such a bizarrely excentric tone one doesn't know if you're serious or not. It's actually kinda funny.
