and you can use the statue of zeus in beyond the sword to start a golden age in the name of zeus after completing ... a quest I think build a bunch of colloseums.
I can't recall too many other quests that can reward golden ages. techs generally reward specialists that can be spent on golden ages.
Note that Fire Making might be granted from a goodie hut/island. If you capture an enemy city in the Prehistoric Age and that city has built the Captured Fire then you cannot build it. (Save scum or edit XML files to your tastes)
The Pyramid of the Magician, which requires Naghualism as the State Religion, starts a Golden Age.
If your play style is about Golden Ages, there are Wonders and Traits that extend the length of Golden Ages, which can have the same effect of getting a Golden Age:

but yeah civ 5 sucked alot I never tried civ 6.
Civ 5 had this thing where you go along and play the game and periodically the AI will taunt you with how much happier they are than you are, because the AI is playing on the lowest difficulty setting because of how bad it is.
which is fine, it was the taunting me that bothered me. made me feel bad about killing them.
