Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword

Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword

how the hell do you get to the city screen in this version?
i've played the hell out of vanilla and warlords starting my first game of beyond the sword and when i try and double click to get to the city screen it brings up that abbreviated version that you would only get to with 1 click in the previous versions and double clicking does nothing.

can someone please tell me how to get to the city screen so i can adjust ♥♥♥♥, what the hell is the abbreviated version even for. so effing stupid

I think it's done by clicking on the city or on the city name.

Double clicking on the city bar should do it, if not your suffering from a very unusual bug and will have to get around it via the city list (F1)

that doesn't work either, it just brings up the same freaking minimalist version that i can't do ♥♥♥♥ on except pick my next thing to produce. just loaded up warlords double click takes me to city screen, but beyond the sword back in double click does the same thing as single click. minimalist version that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useless. awesome bug, can't play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game

The only other advice I can give is to try asking on the civfanatics support forums https://forums.civfanatics.com/forums/civ4-technical-support.159/ where there is a lot more activity and civ knowledge than you'll ever find onthe steam forums.

Double clicking on either the city bar or on the city itself works for me. Even if there is a unit in the city.

Or you can go to the Domestic Advisor by clicking the first icon in the top right or pressing the F1 hotkey. From there you can click on the little picture to the left of the city name you want and it will take you to the city screen.

Make sure it is one of your cities.

I'm having the same problems. Unable to enter the city screen clicking or double-clicking at cities. I have found a way clicking at the icon in the Domestic Advisor (not just the city name) or clicking my civ flag which will send me to my capital city screen. Still annoying not being able to enter directly, though. Have you found any way through?

F10 takes you to your Capital (i think) you can then use the Arrow keys to navigate between cities.

I get this problem usually when theres a chariot or a boat in or near the city i want.

Hover the mouse around the general versinity. Eventually the city bar highlights. Usually.

Alternatively, press F1 and select the city through there.

One additional thought comes to mind, in the options menu there is a tab for X-ing "detailed city info". Is that X-ed?

Move on a tile and select some improvement to construct if your technology unlocked them. Depending on civ very, very early you could have nothing to do with workers if you do not try to research something.
