What does the skull symbol mean on succubus mode?
it is bottom right next the the heart amount, looks like eye gauging

Also, I think you have to finish the regular story mode before playing succubus, though I'm not entirely sure about that.

He means the golden martyr statues.

You have to collect all the pieces. The skull symbol shows how many pieces you are carrying. If you die and have to respawn at one of the mirrors you lose the pieces and have to collect them all again. Once you have attached all the limbs and opened the passage it will remain open.
