GTR2 not loading in Windows 11

Just downloaded onto new laptop as fancied getting back into this but it will not load?

Duuuuude, get Windows 10. Why the heck would you want to suffer like that? Game works almost perfectly on Windows 10. Reinstalling your OS is a pain in the butt but it will be so worth it in the long run.

Windows 10 is a year away from being discontinued so we'll all have to update at some point

Microsoft has been talking about continuing to support Windows 10 indefinitely with security updates, probably because 11 is widely hated and only has half as many users. So, maybe we will be forced to upgrade, but it is still up in the air which OS will be supported longer.
Setting up a dual boot is always an option too. Installing windows for free is very very easy.

working fine on windows 11 here. did you setup your video options first?

Double GPU laptop? then you need to define Nvidia control panel settings to force it to use Nvidia for both gtr2.exe and the gtr2config.exe. only then can you proceed. Disregard this if you dont have that.

it works if you do the video config first. then run the game. if video settings are not set correctly, game crashes. it seems video setting are not saved, so they might need to be set each time. game looks amazing on wide screen at high settings. runs great even with a average newish gaming laptop ryzen 5 -gforce rtx
