GTR 2 - FIA GT Racing Game

GTR 2 - FIA GT Racing Game

GUIDE: Recover Ferrari and Prosche
Ok so i was very dissapointed when i bought this and found these two manufactures missing. Found a quick easy fix so i thought i would post it for anyone else who wants it.

1. Download the 1.1 update from here
http://www.gamershell.com/download_17017.shtml

2. Install the patch. Remember to change the destination folder from C>GTR2, to C>Program Files>Steam>SteamApps>Common>GTR2 - FIA GT Racing Game. You can do this by hitting browse when asked for the destination folder.

3. Download the no-cd crack from here
http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=2282

4. Copy the GRT2.exe to the same folder you installed the patch to. Then hit "copy and replace" when prompted.

Thats it you are good to go with all the cars. All that took maybe 5 mins max and was well worth it. You may have to create an account at No Grip to download the crack. But i would advise anyone who owns GTR 2 to have an account with No Grip. They have an awsome selection of mod cars that arent in the game and a huge selection of tracks to download.

Thanks to The_Baker, heres a link to download the no-cd...patch....and some really good addons. All without having to sign up or create accounts.

Happy Racing Guys :)

Thanks a lot man!!
A racing game without Ferraris isn't a real racing game! :)

Was going to buy this, but no Porsche or Ferrari's. There has to be another way to add those back in without needing the no-cd crack to run after the patch.

I think its an issue where the patch replaces the games .exe with one that asks for a disk on start-up. Dropping in the no-cd just bypasses that so you can play. I havent found another solution yet, but if i do il post it :)

EDIT - i was reluctant to use the no-cd at first aswell. When i found it on no grip though, i was fine with it. Iv used that site for many years and trust downloads from them :)

Well, you could try renaming the steam executable before patching, then replacing the patched executable with the original steam executable. Unlikely to work but you never know.

I'm new guest and already in panic when saw "the Grey" !!
Thanks a lot for clear instructions to correct it.

Any problems about on-line game with No-CD ? Greeting to All GTRacers !!

When you use all that patching and no cd mumbo jumbo can you still use your cd key and play online like a retail player does with his copy?

Also what version is the steam version? 1.2 or what?
Karmaterrorᵁᴷ Dec 30, 2013 @ 8:32am
As far as i know 1.1 is the newest version so steam must either be selling 1.0 or 1.1 edited to remove the brands. Mine works great online after the patch.....in fact i couldnt find a single server, then after patch saw a few :)

So do you actually need the cdkey now or rather not?
