Race 07 Vs GTR2?

Which is better? GTR2 or Race 07? cannot afford entire simbin collection so I can only pick one.

I would say GTR2 because of physics but Race 07 is good as a game with all DLCs.

I'm wondering about this too. I have GTR2 and I love it the championship modes, and I think the AI is very good. Is there something that Race 07 gives you that you don't get in GTR2?

More tracks and cars for sure but overall physics is rather near R3E than rF2. GTR2 should have some awesome mods too.

I own both Race 07 and GTR 2 now, I'm happy.

Are these games the best of the SimBin collection? is it worth getting GT Legends and GTR 1 also or no?

Great, good choice. GT Legends is great but I am not sure what physics has it. GTR1 should be redundant because of GTR2 and with different physics (tire approach).

I played all games back then and bought GT2, GT Legends and Race 07 only on Steam.

What I read, GTR2 should be the best of all and it's still good to play.

Great, good choice. GT Legends is great but I am not sure what physics has it. GTR1 should be redundant because of GTR2 and with different physics (tire approach).

I was asking because I heard GTR2 has Power and Glory mod which adds GT Legends cars into GTR2, there is also GT Legends mod for Race 07 which adds GT Legend cars to Race 07 as well. So I guess there's no point in getting GT Legends?

Probably. I bought it mostly because of nostalgia. Just to experience good old days :D

Now that you spoke of nostalgia, I'm itching to buy it now. I might just buy it anyway since it will complete the collection of the main simbin games! it's pretty cheap too!

Just for the case, someone else looks here - it depends on what you want to drive.

- GTR2 is mostly about GT3 racing - Racing cars with big engines and so.

- Race 07 is (as the base game) mostly about touring cars. So its closer to everyday road cars, not the powerful sports cars of GTR2. The games engine is the newest, but as they optimized everything for a touring cars game, it misses some features of the GTR2 engine and feels worse, some say.

- GT Legends has the oldes engine and you notice it BUT is has this unique 1960s/1979s feeling.

Thank you Norman. Can you race a series championship with Race 07? And what features are missing from GTR2? Does it look better than GTR2?

Race07 is a slight upgrade in looks, I would say it is basically the same physics simulation, but the controls are a little more twitchy in general, this issue still confuses me. The championships exist, but different classes from GTR2. more DLC needed to complete entire title of Race07. game isn't good for gamepads, but great for steering wheels. good to check if your current wheel works with game via forums and reviews also.

I prefer GTR2 still, and then RaceRoomExperience, between these 2 I am able to compete in most of the series and classes I want, and its of excellent quality. I know I wasn't asked, but that is my 2cents.
