EDIT: It only worked the first time a changed it to 32 bit. now it's not working again.
But the in car lap timer on GT legends wasn't working and I verified the integerty of game cache 4 times, yes 4 times. sometimes when you verify game cache it will faile to verify some files. if you do this multiple times the number of files that weren't varivied will go down. You have probably tried it but just though by a rare chance it might work for other games like this one.
I did a lot of google searching to fix this in GTR2 but had no luck. Also a mod also may have broke it if you have any downloaded.
To be more specific a Motec is something that is displayed on a digital screen that records data to be reviewed later such as lap times, throttle and brake position, rpm, tematures, gears ect.. So bassically whatever you wan't to tell you, at leat in real life. Of course the game may have its limitations. It also works as an instrament cluster if it is located where the driver can see it.
Something that looks like this. http://www.fullboost.com.au/content/news/2005/motec_05_sdl_01b.jpg
Older ones are a lot smaller and can only display one thing at a time.
If you really wan't to know a lot about it you can go here.
