Agree completely on the "shootout" nature of the game. I had a 5 star WR go for over 1800 yards in a season and our offensive averaged 34 points a game and we went 5-7. It appears that the B1G in this game is absolutely loaded, wtf? My defense can't even stop Minnesota and Iowa from going for over 30 points.
In three years with Michigan I had the #2, #4 and #3 recruiting classes, loaded with 4-5 star talent all across the board and I never had a better year than 7-6. Somehow we beat OSU 2 of those years despite OSU being undefeated and us coming in with 4-5 losses.
I guess the playcalling and strategy aspect is way more improtant than I realize so I'll have to lok at your tips and reconsider my next playthrough.
Recruiting is really easy, especially if you're coming from bowl bound. Figure out where you have playing time available and try and get the big fish that way. In general, recruit within your region (set it to within 300-500 miles) and only go outside region for high interest guys at positions of need. If guys are under 50 interest don't bother. Immediately pull your resources off them and make new targets. Obviously I was recrutiing with a fairly high prestige team. If you're SW Nautical State adjust your expectations until you build a higher prestige.
Fun game but man it feals like there is more here, if they would spruce up the UI and crashing this game would be a lot more popular IMO.
watch season 1 episodes 1-3 @madvillian
hopefully that helps. i won a national champ with Tennessee in just my 3rd year
That's too funny... because I came here from the game to look something up and I have the youtube video open as a basic gameplay guide... so I clicked on the link here and it sent me to the channel I have open LOL
