Me too. I saw his Simpsons video years ago, then I found out he was a Shenmue fan. I think he did a great job reviewing the game and I agree with him on almost everything.

Guys, build your own opinion about the game. The person who did the review, says some true things, but also some outright nonsense. He clearly does not understand the game as a whole. Only some parts of it. Money grinding problems are extremely subjective. The point of this game is not to rush through the main story. This is a design way to stop a person who rush the game and play it wrong. The game has many ways to make money and the dumbest of all is gambling. (Just like in real life.) When he talks about the game like that, exaggerates and pretends to be funny, he does it for viewers.We all have been in this situation before. A game is not exactly what we imagined, we don't like playing it and we prefer the series to stop, so the others can't enjoy it.

What is this argument that Shenhua tells you everyday "Good night" "Take care" or "Good day"? Don't our mothers, girlfriends or wives tell us this every day? Why he finds it stupid? I dont understand. :)

If you like the series and want to try it, just try it and build your own opinion.. Some people think the game is bad, some think it's OK, and some have a great time playing it. Its not for everyone. Its not a mainstream game and its not "a big seller". Shenmue 3 is a game true to itself and a great way to start new Shenmue games.

I don't think that videos like these are good for the series. Тhey are not good criticism. Some people are influenced by such opinions and do not want to try the game.

This is the video that you must watch! it is a pity that there are only 1000 views. It deserve more than 350k and you'll see why Shenmue was always good, even today. You'll learn the right way to play the game and why so special.

we did, the moment we found out that the story had zero actual progress, Ryo still getting his ass beaten by regular thugs, Ryo needing to grind his ass off just to get the very same ass beaten in the next encounter, and again the worst of the bunch is that there is no actual progression in the story, after 12 years of hiatus.

how is that "not understanding" the game? He specifically says that in terms of today's context, where it's mundanity would not generally be enjoyed by others, and he is right, slow burner games have become very niche over the years
