on my end some games also just dont like the MSI Afterburner onscreen overlay, try without it or turn off any form of onscreen display software in general and see if that helps.
Turning of the GPU overlocking seems to have stopped the constant crashing. The audio peaking from the Effects volume and the controller stopping are still an issue. The controller usually stops when fighting is engaged. I managed to find one USB port on the back of my computer to plug the controller into where it does not have an issue. Again- I had no problem in my usual USB port at the front of the computer when I played this game through Epic.
right click the game on steam and select settings
change the specific steam input setting on/off and try if that helps with the controller problem.
WHAT GAMEPAD ARE YOU EVEN USING?
if its via bluetooth try with a connected cable.
cant help you with your sound problems right now, but its strange that it worked with your epic version but not now...or did i understand you wrong??
You understood correctly. There were no audio issues with the Epic version that I noticed. There are a couple of audio issues for this Steam port, that one being the most noticeable and irritating.
I use a Rock Candy XBOX 360 USB controller. I tried to configure it through Steam but everything looks and acts wonky and does not save my settings. Im also having an issue where the controller prevents the PC from sleeping- but that's related to a Windows Update from what Im reading through researching a fix. The driver for this controller is up to date, and if it's plugged into a particular port on the MB (but according to Devices it's the same Core USB Hub). When connected to something that is not direct to the MB, it stays connected but stops working in game. I have only experienced this through Shenmue 3 on Steam.
OMG- it happens with Steam and not Epic because it's a Steam issue. After the last engine update ALL my controller settings got wiped out. I never saved or exported them, and I dont think I ever even used them- but needless to say I turned everything off for the Controller thru Steam (overlay and XBOX 360 Config), plugged it back into my usual front USB port, and it seems like things are working now. I did a few fights and spars and the controller commands continued to work. Unless it's just an issue that occurs during scripted fights/sparing, function is finally normal.
always good to have a solution ready to read for the next person having troubles ^^
Well, it worked fine playing a couple of hours last night, Ive been playing for maybe an hour this morning and the controller stopped working in the middle of a fight. Im at a loss at this point and incredibly frustrated.
