Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti
Radeon 590 8GB on desktop and Radeon 560X 4GB on laptop, both with latest drivers.
You're stuttering as well? I'm on a 1060 6GB driver version 430.86 (yes not the latest) and there isn't any stutter. But if it stutters on both brands I guess we can rule out drivers maybe.
Given the fact no other games have issues on my AMD systems I can only surmise that it's an issue with the game. My desktop has a 4Ghz Ryzen 7 (8 core/16 thread) so it's unlikely to be a CPU bottleneck! ;-/
Mhm, doesn't matter what I put the settings to - I can cap the game to 60fps and put graphics to low and I will still get 10-15 fps drops (sometimes more) at certain areas of the map, and this happens for the majority of times I pass said areas (going past Tao-Get towards the bell tower in particular almost always causes a stutter for me, almost to the exact same *pixel*, as though there is an invisible wall which when walked through causes a big stutter; these "walls" can be found all around Bailu village, sometimes they stutter me, sometimes they don't... But mostly they do; I am on the latest Nvidia drivers for the record). Looking at other people's PC footage on YouTube, the same thing seems to be happening across the board, just to varying degrees. FWIW I'm running the game at fullscreen 1440p on a Gsync monitor. When I cap the game to 90fps in RTSS or similar and put it on very high, my GPU rarely crosses into >90% usage territory; tends to hover around 60-75% on average - for what it's worth the area to area stuttering is not caused by GPU max out and actually makes my GPU usage go *down* dramatically, to like less than 20% utilisation... Is not CPU or RAM bottleneck either, I have an i7 8700k and 32GB of 3200mhz RAM, which is more than capable as evident thru monitoring programs and whatnot... Nor is it an overheating/throttling issue, CPU and GPU temps have stayed below a warm though comfortable 73 celsius in my time playing it. Still enjoying the game a lot but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't enjoy it more with this stuff fixed, it certainly becomes more irritating the more it happens and so far the are no signs of the stuttering going away any time soon :/
Yeah, the same for me. I have a 4Ghz Ryzen 7 and 16GB RAM which is well above the needed spec. I'm using a FreeSync monitor at 1080p/75Hz, and even dropping to 720p low doesn't fix anything. I've even tried running from an NVMe SSD, SATA SSD, and standard 7200RPM drive and it makes no difference whatsoever. Definitely an issue with the game as far as I can see.
On a side note it would be helpful if there were advanced graphics options.
graphics setting on highest
i7 4790s
rtx2060
8gb ram
windows on C: ssd
game on D: ssd
so far the game looks great and i really enjoy it, hope you guys can find a fix for your game
No stuttering/freezing even when changing areas?
turn vsync on ingame and try that
without frame limitation, just vsync on 60hz via ingame setting
Tried it mate. I even hooked it up to my 60Hz main HDTV and still the same thing - awkward stuttering whatever the settings.
Same here I'm afraid. Put monitor to 60Hz, closed out of RTSS and turned Vsync on in game, Tao-Get stutter point still drops me down to 51fps :/ Even on Low settings...
I dislike EGS as much as the next guy, but this really adds nothing.
