Centipede fight seemed easier because you have more options/weapons. I think the trick is in stunning them with shots so they stall and start to turn.
Second fight with the cook was so much easier with shotgun :)
P.S. I struggled with hotline miami 1/2, but still enjoyed them a lot. The above is my experience from my first playthrough, I havent' finished it yet. It's on youtube (though in Russian) too. The game is not well-balanced in hard, but it is still doable :)
sure they might ACE it, but not everyone could
I mean, I could finish it If I commited to it. But It feels wrong and annoying, so I wont. Lacks good mechanics. I wanted to try the guns in the game, maybe the game gets better at that point, but I couldnt put myself trough the melee. A shame, I love hard game, isometric games, and gory games. But this one is just bad.
The truth is that HARD mode in GARAGE: Bad Trip is designed to require extensive planning and skill from the player in order to achieve a horror-style HOTLINE MIAMI feel wherein the player must perfectly execute a well-thought ballet of violence in under a few seconds. Its actually a masterfully implemented difficulty.
This game wasn't entertaining enough to me to warrant "extensive planning". If you want a game that is as good as the Hotline Miamis, I recommend Ruiner.
Actually, you're just garbage, and you shouldn't buy interesting, difficult games if you're just going to whine and moan about perceived "unfairness". HARD mode in Garage takes thought (which I guess you lack).
You probably think you're good at isometric games because you beat Hotline Miami or something, but that game is essentially a brain-dead rush fest (HM2 Hard mode was easy and thoughtless, except for the last part of the dockyard level with Manny Pardo, can you say RNGesus?).
That's pathetic. Just start your kick animation as rats are approaching you to avoid damage. For the big rat fight just walk backwards, take out the little ones first, and then range poke the boss, ezpz fight.
Actually, if you're having trouble with that fight, don't even continue because the later chapters will chew you up and spit you out like the insignificant pleb you are.
