(SPOILER) Post-game stuff

Please don't read this unless you've beaten the game and watched the credits.

I went to the newly activated Nexus portal.

I went into the white city(?) and wound up in The Land. I've explored all the in-bounds areas, I think. so I'm wondering if there's anything good out-of-bounds in this area. I've seen both endings of the game, so all I have left are getting the last metacoins and checking out all the unzones. This really makes me want to replay Anodyne though.

Out of bounds there you can find some of the inaccesible zones. You see, everything's actually connected in The Land there by the Dust void, so you can reach anywhere...but you can only interact with the warps directly to get back the normal road.

I did try to reach upwards and downwards from the Sage message stone and even though I "persevered" I found nothing...

The fact that you can go out of bounds at all indicates there's probably something out there. I haven't a clue where, though. The areas don't match up with the layout in the first game, and there's no indication of how big the map is, so you can do nothing but blindly wander around in the dark. I suppose you could draw on graph paper to see the layout, at least?

Given the first game's postgame activities, it really feels like there's something out there. For the moment, though, I'd be flying blind trying to explore all of this. Who knows, maybe there's some super secret instructions on how to progress.

Edit: just to make sure we're on the same page, where are you going out of bounds? The only place I've found so far is in the extra-glitchy entrance area.

That's the only way to go out of bounds in any 2d area, as far as I can tell.

This is a tad late for a reply, but...

I went and mapped the whole Land out[i.imgur.com], but unfortunately unless there's something really far off in the void there's not much to see here.
