Struggling with a point in the a quest to destroy a nexus

Hi All

Slightly spoilerish ahead maybe!

I am at at point on both sides of the questline, one of which is "Destroy a Corrupt Nexus". I am struggling to find how, i can't get past the shield and i have looked everywhere around it, i'm sure i am missing something basic but just cant see what i am missing or havent read.

Could anyone help with how i go about destroying them?

Check your research stuff, there should be a thing there to research for the shield.

I researched the stuff to get in the main base first, so did find that, but i cannot see anything there for the Nexus bases, i have checked every page several times. Wonder if i need to have some more of the other side quest line completed? I'm currently on the forge, but the forge heart doesn't "glow" for me to find anything.

Ah! Seems to be working now, i didnt see any research but i managed to get the Heart thing working, then areas changed to "Contested" and the shields are gone. Thanks! :)

warning there may be spoilers. but i am writing this because it took me ages to work out.
i had the forge heart for ages. tried a few times, talked to clawtooth, a priest guy. by the time i had made clawtooth a chief. i had given up. pretty sure i talked to him one extra time after making him a chief, but just entered into a 'chat'. anyway you need to talk to clawtooth after making him a chief (maybe you need the heart in your inv as well?) and then you can progress.

It didnt help that the quest chain only had two items in it and they were both ticked. more were opened after i spoke to cheif clawtooth, and had the heart in my inv
