Air Sacs???

Where the hell are Air Sacs supposed to be? I've been exploring for two hours and I still haven't found those exploding pod plants, all to make the first damn oxygen mask.

I have found people saying the 'overgrown wildlands' but I have explored two large 'overgrown wildlands' and I haven't seen a single plant.

So far i'm sad to say i'm not having a whole lot of fun running around failing to find basic resources, knowing there is a doomsday timer ticking down.

Also, is there any difficulty level to pause the game when looking at the map? It is extremely difficult to read due to the bloom/glare (I have already disabled these in graphics settings). I can't afford to sit there and try to find plants/resources while time is ticking away

Ready to give up on this game, just went another in-game day of running around finding NOTHING, burning through my food while the warp rifts are tearing the place up, and I still haven't found the most basic level 1 resource plant.

air sacs I've mostly seen in the wildlands or the caustic biome(red soil, corrosive gas, usually corruption and void crystal formations) though honestly I never bothered to make an O2 mask, just keep moving, grabbing oxygen where I see it.

Edit: After consulting my map air sacs/gas blossoms can also be found in the Fungal Fields or Murky Depths.

They are around the spiky blooms

Killing the sspiky blooms also sometimes drops an air sac. Yes, they are annoyingly hard to find in the beginning. Took me a while too.

Use the map filter to show only creatures and you should find the pretty easily. They are in most of the normal temperature biomes.
