Hello!
These can be dug up from Bio Shrooms Clusters which can be found in multiple biomes but I can recommend checking out fungal fields. Bring a shovel
The fungus is easy to get if you search around the biomes.
The goal is to make it as fast as possible, stockpile some fungus and then get the lab going and put sparkstone in it. Of course make the oxygenator and you have a very fast start.
You probably want a generatot that will create power using any item or low durability items like a 10% shovel:D thats what i suggested too
Well in my world I did not find many of the fungus until later when I already researched solar and wind power. So for a starter power source it is a little counterproductive to limit it to only one resource that may or may not be available. Also that fungus is needed for healing gel, so early on I saved every little bit of it for that (until I figured out the attack patterns of the monsters).
Yeah my idea was some low power generator that can burn all kinds of stuff. Some power source to get your base going initially. The way the bioreactor is designed does not fit that role.
