*SIGH* Corvex antennae needed to upgrade to research 3, really now?

Corvex are apparently a creature in this game, but I cannot find one and I have checked so many biomes while rifts continue to spawn all the while feeling like you are wasting time wading through more chitterlings, "rich" soil and space bananas. C'mon please have a list of biomes and whats in them so early access "testers" can find things without needing to spend hours meandering around hoping against hope that we find the one thing needed to upgrade.I hope those who read this have a nicer day.

It's an apex predator! OK this is not fun game design. Combat in this game is a horrible chore and the only way I killed it was kiting it in a evil guy village. Not being able to pivot on the spot or lock on to a target makes things feel awful.

Now finally to get the matter printer I need to find a Viperlisk? Yeah no, not with 10 void rifts up...this save is wipe. All this to make a first aid kit for some alien scrub so that I can continue the campaign. This has made me hate the Brachylon, which is perhaps not an intended outcome.

Hello! First of all, thank you for the feedback. Always appreciate to hear what people think when playing.

We're currently planning and working on getting a wiki up and running. Can't give exact time on when you can expect it but we will let you know when it's ready. There has also been some discussions in the team about people not being able to find the Corvex.

And here's a spoiler on how to deal with the void rifts:
If you follow the right side of the Objective tree, finding the strange signal and then talk to Carl he will mark a new location on your map.
This will lead you to an Alien base on the planet with a forcefield, Scan the forcefield and figure out how to make it inside, and following that objective path will lead you to how to deal with Void Rifts

the octo base thing carl directs me too is locked behind the frozen sea i need the freeze protection to get to there but i need the MKIII scanner to get that and i need the Corvex thing not sure where it is maybe i can get the stuff for the 3rd armour but i don't have the recipes like chlittering fiber the metal plates so i am a bit confused

I had to do a suicide run in a snow storm in an ice biome with medigel just to find one lol

Lots of thermo sticks is the way to go. Drop em everywhere and carry one in hand except when you have to fight. Search all the frozen zones and make sure to walk on brown dirt not ice or snow when you can since the dirt areas are warmer. Corvex can teleport and tend to follow you so if you find them kite them to an alien enemy base and watch them kill each the then run in and grab the antenna.

So you know, You do not need rank 3 research to get through the alien forcefield. I still use standard hazard armour and have not got the parts for the frost armour yet so it is possible to search the frozen zones. Having a stove with you helps as well and ember crystal mines are actually warm, DO NOT mine them in frozen areas. Good luck.

The Octo base being behind a frozen sea is actually interesting, I would love to try playing in your world at some point, could you send the Seed in here? I'll try and explore it a bit

You can find the seed by pressing escape and looking at the top right.

Hey there, thanks for the feedback. We are actually looking at these gated progression points and have balances planned for these reasons. Please stay tuned for more info on that.

The wiki can't come soon enough. So many times, I think "Right, I'll try doing this thing", but then get gated because there's a material I've never seen before.

"Corvex Antenna? I'll just google it and- nothing. No wiki online. Oh, I need a phase core? Well, I have phase crystals, maybe I just smelt them- no..."
Gets annoying.

A wiki would really be wonderful, thank you. An NPC Bracylon that you can ask about biomes and resources would be nice in-game system way to find out where to go. Also, it is a bit weird that you know what you need for upgrades before you even encounter a resource.

the "ask a npc"-idea seems wonderful, i could'nt find the corvex on my own aswell (because it was hidden under the snow lol), but so far i rly enjoyed the game, i also had to restart 2 times before i even got it out.
my first attempt was to try the Bracylon and i didnt mind the other side of the questline so i got overrun by rifts haha.
my second attempt was a little bit a mix of booth but i run into a bug so i couldn't continue the right side of the questline
the third attempt i focused on right side of the questline more and it realy did go well,
what helped me out aswell was to put down a lot more teleporter's

i think it is great that it isn't way too easy but finding things because of pure luck and not even a hint to know where to go, seems a little bit too hard for the players (i mean looking fo the information outside of the game) maybe there could be a tale-teller Bracylon saying things like "i heard of a beast hidden in the snow with 2 probes on their heads"

what i have to looked up was
- Corvex
- Bloom Crystals
the rest i did find out on my own, or maybe there could be area symbol's on the items? like a little snowflake on the corvex-antenna symbol where to find it, "oh its in a snowy area"!

The Corvex symbol and name are definitely a problem. I too searched everywhere and the internet for an answer-the name and symbol made me think it was an actual antenna place and so I searched the communication crash site over and over….would have never guessed it’s a creature part. Thanks for the info!
