[BUG]Made Patrol Boat but I can't use it

I just bought the game today, I played the demo version on armorgames. Thought it was cool so I imported my save from there. Basically finished both endings over there so when I hoped in the game I saw that I can use the patrol boat. I tried to make a patrol boat on the original island, but it keeps saying it does not have enough fuel. I tried adding all the things that I thought might be fuel to it's inventory. Refined oil, crude oil, coal, wood, even put soul gems. So I tried to make the boat on Sunset Island, no luck there either. Overall preaty disapointed, just bought the game and already it's broken. Kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ to be honest, bummed as hell. Any way would appreaciate any help. I assumed it might have something to do with the save file. If that is the case is there any way to restore the save file or anything? I mean the game plays out just fine but the patrol boat dose not work.

When riding the vehicle, hit E to open the vehicle's equipment window, and then select one of the Add Fuel options - it'll accept coal or refined oil from your inventory or the vehicle's inventory.
