Farmer bots gather at crops and don't harvest

I have a lot of wrym pens, crops, and a lot of farmer bots on the main island. When there are no crops on the island, the farmer bots tend to the wrm pens very well. but when I have crops on the island tons of farmer bots will gather around the crops. Sometimes they will gather them, but most the time they do not and also it seems that they spend very little time getting the items from wyrm pens. I have to remove the crops and let them focus on the wrym pens only.

There are also tons of crops on the island they don't even seem to want to harvest at all.

Why do they do this and is there a way to stop it? Perhaps I just need to move crops to another island. Is there a way to automatically move items between items?

If I recall correctly, Farming bots like to gather around what has the lowest cooldown, hence the crops, and also take forever to gather crops (I use mods for farmer bots because they suck base game) But yeah I would say move the crops to a different island if you want to boost wyrm pen efficiency

Which mods would you recommend for farmer bots? I do generally like to play games through at least once without mods but there are specific cases where I feel it is necessary and this is one of those times. The AI on the farmer bots clearly doesn't work well, so a mod that fixes that would be appreciated.

Sorry for the late response I forgot which mod did what lol. I do have a mod that I use quite a bit however it may not solve your exact problem so sorry for the confusion. The mod I use has an Advanced Farmer Bot that goes to a nearby barn and automatically refreshes crops there. If you want more consistent auto farming of pens I'd recommend https://mod.io/g/aground/m/farmable-pens as it only adds the pens no other extra things so it gets the job done. Hope this helps!
