Getting Started Underwater (spoilers)

How do you do it? I beat the ice storm and the bombardment ship, but I've still got no weapons that work underwater. The fish city has a spellbook that works underwater, but I need monster parts to get it.

Am I missing something? And advice would be appreciated

you could:
1. upgrade the rusty axe with a fire tusk.
2. enchant a steel sword/axe/hammer or a boomerang with the water enchant (blood gem, fire tusk, icy fur).
3. Buy a coral sword/bow from the fish merchant.

The fish city buys and sells magic items (and even normal ores). Collecting dragonblood, focus gems, or even farming monster parts will pretty quickly give you enough coin for it. Also, the currency is the same as the science path markets, so you can find things to sell for enough coinage there.

I love that people are still discovering this game. It's one of my all time favorites. My advice is to do the science path until you have full advance tech gear and then do the magic path.

Since you've gotten past bombardment though, I recommend grabbing the exotic matter on top of divider island and heading to earth.
