Terraformer
Would it be possible to add an option to terraform an entire planet? you can only add something like 8 exotic matter to the terraformer but if you add say 100 and it's locked in to terraform the planet permanently? would be a fun end-game goal

You can terraform an entire planet by just moving the terraformer (it has a pretty large range, but will eventually stop terraforming tiles). Once all tiles it can reach are terraformed, it will very slowly burn through fuel to keep the atmosphere full of O2. This isn't permanent though obviously, eventually it will run out of fuel and the planet will lose oxygen. A way to permanently add oxygen (like, if there are enough trees planted) would be neat.

Oh man. Please add that. I'd become the Gardener of the Galaxy then. It's how I played Spore, too. Turning every world I came across into a nature paradise.

Yeah, that would be fun. (Reminds me of Terraforming Mars!) @Warchild, aren't you the one who planted the tree on the dwarf planet?

Nope, not me.

Must have been someone else, then... Great picture of the tree planting all the same!

Please do, and maybe some way to reinforce your spaceship (or dragonship) so that you can access those planets that are too dangerous to reach? I really like the idea of terraforming the whole galaxy :)

Maybe you could teleport in to the planet core and then science your way to the surface and make like reinforced buildings on the surface... i remember reading somewhere that you were considering a hybrid path

I have been working on a mod for this: Planets Extended - https://aground.mod.io/planets-extended It currently only has a new system with two planets (as I added Mars and Mercury, but they were developed in vanilla; they may move to an existing system) but the moon is next up on the list and I have plans to finish the solar system.

Just plant 8 trees in the soil once the terraformer has covered the surface, you’ll get a permanent breathable atmosphere. I actually used grassy walkways to do this on both Unoiks428b and Mars a long time before I found the CaptAIn’s colony. NOTE: You can’t use crystal trees for this, they won’t do the job. I reccommend using regular “apple” trees and conifers, they won’t attack you every time you walk by.
